Coming by car?

From the Straition Junction, on the city bypass (A720), head toward the city centre (A701). Go through 3 sets of traffic lights (ignore pedestrian lights in this count) and at the third set you will have just descended Liberton Brae (hill). Drive forward 5 metres and take the left road - Mayfield Road. We are another 800 metres along this road, through another set of traffic lights, on the right hand side.

From the airport?

Take the city link bus, they run every 10 minutes, and get off at the last stop (Waverley Bridge, next to the station). If you plan on using the bus, when returning to the airport, buy the return ticket as this will save you money. Now you can take a short taxi ride (costs about £8.00) to the guest house or use another bus - see below.

Bus from Waverley Station?

Walk up to Princes Street and turn right. Walk along to the next junction and turn right onto North Bridge, cross the road. There are three buse stops arranged along that side of the street. Check the radar tracking system to see the timings of the next bus, you are looking for any one of the following numbers: 3, 7, 8, 29, 31, 37, 47 & 49 (ignore any numbers with an X). Please also note that each bus will only stop at one of three the bus stops.

Have your £1.10 ready for the single fare, the driver gives no change, or £2.50 for the day saver (available after 0930, and can be used all of that day/night). The journey takes about 12 minutes and you should get off at the second stop in Mayfield Gardens, or sometimes called the Royal Blind School stop, ask the driver to help you with this.
